Christmas 2022

Here’s a little snapshot into our lives in 2022!

Kyle – continues to work as an administrative sergeant with the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office. Did crazy things on the job like a Polar Plunge on a -25 degree day in January, and was in no less than 10 parades. He enjoys reading, yard work, & throwing a baseball with the kids in his down time.

Johanna – continues to run Puelston Family Corp. Feeding, clothing, and coordinating logistics x 5 kids is a feat. She also works part-time at a small charter school and can hook you up with her favorite activewear. She enjoys paddleboarding, baking, and cheering for the kids in their various sports. Date night is a treat – she and Kyle celebrated 16 years of marriage in September!

Jackson – turned 13 in July, passed mom in height in October, helped his baseball team win the league championship with his mad skills at 1st base, was the Munchkin Coroner in the high school musical “Wizard of Oz”, and was honored to play goalie in a varsity soccer game this fall. His varied talents and interests keep life fun and busy!

Taylor – turned 11 in October, and is enjoying her first year of playing flute in band, singing in the school choir, and taking advanced art. She had fun playing soccer this summer, is in her fifth year of dance, and sings on the youth worship team at our church. All things creative & artistic = Taylor!

Alfarado – turned 10 in November, and got to take a very special trip with Mom to Florida, where he got to see friends from Haiti! Four boys he grew up with in Haiti had a fun weekend together. Alfa works very hard in school, played soccer this summer and basketball this fall, can build amazing Lego creations, and is one funny guy!

Grant – turned 9 in December, played Little League baseball this summer and hit three home runs, does gymnastics, and crushes his spelling tests on a weekly basis. He really enjoys being challenged at school, and had a blast playing flag football this fall. His sense of humor makes us laugh!

Maddie – turned 7 in November, was very excited to play soccer on a TEAM this summer, enjoys dancing, is reading so well in 1st grade, and loves playing pretend with her stuffed animals. Nothing makes her happier than playing outside with friends. She keeps us on our toes with her busy brain and body, and also gives the BEST hugs!

While this is a list of accomplishments and high points – we had our share of struggles, disappointments, and challenges this year too – through all of life we are thankful for the faithfulness of God. He carries us and we trust Him to see us through another year. Merry Christmas – His birth changed everything! With love, The Puelstons

my life is full and beautiful because the Lord of all creation has seen fit to take me as His own. I have a wondeful husband, five incredible kids, a sweet yellow lab, and we live in a lovely house in a small town. I throw the occasional temper tantrum, love good food, bake drool-worthy treats, and have a love affair with French-pressed coffee, mountains, and the North Shore of Lake Superior.
